Hall Of Fame Stars Review

Hall Of Fame Stars doesn't actually make a lot of promises on the thour, but one thing that it does guarantee is a large library featuring only the top names in porn. The content isn't exclusive per se, but then I can't really think of any vintage porn archive that would be, at least not wholly.

Fans of classic titles and stars can look forward to at least one to three new retro scenes added to the archive on a weekly basis. Already, there are 434 scenes, 143 sets of photos and you also get access to 11 bonus sites including BabesCartel, PornstarLegends and HQFlix. It's a fair amount to be sure, although I was a little disappointed that I couldn't search for specific full movie titles. Instead, only scenes can be searched. However, when you open a scene, you end up finding the title of the movie and you can always make a search through the model gallery to find more scenes from the same film, or at least from the starring models.

So, who can you find inside Hall Of Fame Stars? I'd say any big name including Annette Haven, Taylor Wane, Deidre Holland, Sharon Mitchell, Rhonda Jo Petty and even some models like Jenna Jameson and Teri Weigel who may not have worked during the Golden Era of porn, but who have certainly made their mark in porn throughout the 1990s. Most of the pornstars are white, but there are some Asian, Latina and ebony babes including Asia Carrera, Domonique Simone and Alicia Rio.

Photos aren't the big draw and the sizes can vary greatly. I found some smaller sizes around 800x600 and larger 1200x800 sizes. The photos seemed to be a bit more recent than the majority of the videos, although by recent I mean between 1990 and maybe 2000, or a little more recent even. For example, there is at least one set of Taylor Wane, who was at the height of her career in the 90's, as a MILF. There are also some exceptional sets of Brianna Banks in some early photos. In any case, pictures can be downloaded in .zip files or browsed in slideshows.

The videos can be as brief as 10 minutes or as long as 60 minutes. The overall digital quality is really dependant on the original and whether it was made on video or film stock, although I'd say a lot of it was originally shot on video. There are two minute clips if you have a preference for saving only the best parts of any scene, but full-length downloads are also offered in WMV (1520kbps, 640x480), MP4 (800kbps, 320x240) and 3GP (800kbps, 352x288). I think that the films are decent enough looking. They aren't razor sharp like a lot of the movies being made these days are, but then this is par for the course on a vintage site. However, the films will take you back in time to relive or to newly experience some of the hottest and most famous stars in some of their best porn scenes.

Final Verdict

HallOfFameStars is a decently sized site and judging content dates it seems like they are adding new stuff. However, I better suspect that the site isn't updating so much as it is recycling content. The quality is decent looking on playback, even if the video specs are rather average, but you end up with a pretty good collection of hot pornstars from days gone by and you also end up with another 11 bonus sites. Is this the best retro archive? Probably not, but it might be worth your while since another classic archive called Pornstar Legends is included as one of the bonus sites.
